Mission:

Provides management oversight for all Government Accountability Office (GAO) audit engagements and facilitates timely implementation and to improve the Department's effectiveness, efficiency, and ultimately… lethality.

What We Do:

• Serves as the Department’s central liaison for GAO on all matters concerning GAO engagements and provide management oversight for the implementation and closure of GAO performance audit recommendations.
• Monitors, analyzes, and reports on the status of GAO engagements within the Department.
• Facilitates resolution of disagreements between the Department and audit entities. Informs DoD leaders of significant GAO recommendations, and issues.
