Defense Management & Performance Improvement

Mission:
Encourage internal organization and performance competencies that are inclusive to Defense priorities and federal engagements to the Performance Improvement Framework where key connections are recognized between performance activities and the execution of priorities contributing to the National Defense Strategy and the Strategic Management Plan.
What We Do:
- We address internal DoD management practices and capabilities, including the statutory review of all Defense Agencies and Field Activities, supporting the development and execution of DoD Management priorities, and supporting Federal-wide engagements such as the President’s Management Agenda and the DoD / OMB CXO Council (DOCC) Committee.
- Implements the Deputy Secretary approved Performance Improvement framework which is focused on establishing key linkages between enterprise-wide performance improvement activities and their contribution to the implementation of strategic priorities in the National Defense Strategy (NDS) and SMP.
